Server Agreement
In keeping with the stated purpose of Men’s Encounter, based on Ephesians 4:22-24, our goal is that servers represent:
- Men who believe in Christ as their Savior, who have made a public statement of their faith through action and word.
- Men who live freed from the past by the power of the cross.
- Men who experience and express freedom in every area of their life.
- Men who daily refocus themselves on Jesus as the center of their life.
- Men who continue living a victorious life as a "new creation in Christ".
With the recognition that full healing can often be a process, we understand that each of us may be in different stages of freedom. We are not looking for fully “whole” (holy) individuals, recognizing this process takes a lifetime. Our desire is for the Holy Spirit to work through surrendered hearts that can share what the freedom of the cross has accomplished in their lives. Your life should be full and mature enough, through time and healing, to witness to the HOPE and freedom found in Christ.
The Encounter Team asks you to prayerfully consider if there has been sufficient healing in your life, before you commit to serve. Healing means there may still be some raw areas, but you can talk about what God has done for you with confident hope and freedom, and really see God’s provision and deliverance in this area of your life. You may have a real, broken heart for some attendees you wish to serve, but are just not quite ready yet to make deliverance and recognized hope in Christ the focus. Give it some time and we will be blessed incredibly by your servanthood in the future.
Once registered, you will receive more info with the dates for server training. It is a requirement that you attend at least one of the server trainings to be able to serve. We provide a server handbook that gives you guidelines and training you will need for the weekend. During the Encounter weekend, your attendees will come to trust you deeply. Because of that trust and the desire for continued support for your attendees, we ask that you commit to the four post encounter meetings. More information about post encounter and dates will be shared during server training. If you are unable to attend any of the post encounters, please let your team captain know.
If you can agree that your life shows the hope and healing we have in Christ, we invite you to continue the server registration process
